'ArecaWare' believes in the importance of being environmentally aware but also the need to understand the importance of supporting and not exploiting the communities that supply these products. Areca leaf products are manufactured in the sub-continent - mainly India and Sri Lanka - where workers can receive exceptionally poor working pay and conditions.

However 'ArecaWare' has - as part of its core mission - ensured that the products conform to the Free Trade ethic of engaging only with businesses and manufacturers that are carefully audited in terms of their work force and in turn the workforce's pay and working conditions.
